Meet Lucia ♥
Hi there! My name is Lucia and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#18007) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I was born and raised in Argentina, and have been living in British Columbia for the past three years. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and I’m also working on my thesis towards my Master’s degree in Neuroscience.
Even though I draw techniques from a variety of evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems theories, my main goal is to create a safe, caring space centered around the person sitting in front of me. This means truly listening to what you have to say and honoring your experience and the effort you are doing by sharing what you are going through with me. From this perspective, I am also mindful that every one of us has a wealth of strengths and coping skills, and that will be our starting point to explore the new challenges you are now facing.
I am also aware that looking for support during the perinatal stage of a person’s life has its own challenges, so I want to acknowledge from the very beginning how important it is that you are reaching out. Support during this time can make all the difference!
